Meet the artist behind the lens

Leah is a lifestyle photographer specializing in weddings and families. She has been documenting love stories since 2015.

Creating imagery that continues to grow in value.

A letter from Leah:

Dear bride and groom,

To be a witness to your wedding day would be the greatest honor.
Not unlike Katherine Heigl — bridesmaid-for-hire — feeling validated by her contribution to a smooth wedding day, I’ve experienced the joy that comes with serving my clients and the immediate gratification when my diligence can enhance their wedding day experience. I take deep pride in being brought into the circle of witnesses.

When the opportunity presents itself to connect with the guests at each wedding, I’m eager to gather insight into the couple and their love story through the unique relationship they share with each of their loved ones. As a visual storyteller, I believe the imagery is shaped by these authentic relationships.

My belief is that we are created to be in relationships with each other. If we end up working together, we will inevitably be in relationship together. Because my hope is found in Jesus Christ, I hope to extend God’s grace to you through our relationship.

That may look like:

—allowing you to pause. and breathe in the surging excitement and thrill of your highly anticipated celebration
putting my goals and interests aside, and allowing you to define my role as your photographer and collaborator
acting with humility, gentleness, and patience as I communicate with your carefully curated wedding team

Hi, we’re the Tises,

Leah is a storyteller by nature and now uses that gift to freeze moments in time for her clients. The story never ends —

Speaking of love stories:

Leah met Eric in 2016 while he was visiting her hometown for a short weekend. A few months later, he moved to Italy and she moved to Birmingham and they tried to keep in touch, even crossing paths in Rome one fateful February.

But it wasn’t until 2019 when Eric was sent to Birmingham for 8-weeks that they decided to… get married. But not just yet. Knowing this was it for them, they dated long distance without seeing each other in person for a year while he lived in South Korea and then shared their vows with a handful of witnesses four days after his return to the States…

…They spent a month of newlywed bliss together before he returned to Italy — and this time she followed.

Leah’s storytelling evolved through the poetic stillness of relational Italian culture during their time living amongst the locals. She had time to slow down and learn how to serve her couples and be a creative resource to them. And because of her own romance, she has an even greater appreciation of a “frozen moment in time” as she treasures each framed memory of their love story.

When Leah isn’t photographing weddings she prefers to be in the company of good friends, near water, reading historical fiction, listening to old hymns, taking Rex on long walks, sitting in the sunshine, exploring small towns, holding babies, and being her husband’s biggest fan.

Life continues to take Leah and Eric to some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes...

The Tises are moving to Oahu, Hawai’i in early 2025!
Come find us when you’re nearby — We’d love to be the ones to capture your island vows and life-moments!

TESTIMONIALS:

Leah is the BEST! She was so helpful leading up to the wedding, talking details with me. Day-of, all of my bridal party and family told me how much they enjoyed Leah. Seriously, these are the photos of my dreams. Having quality photos was one of my top priorities for our wedding because I knew the images would be what would make my day live on and Leah provided the most perfect images to do just that.

Leah is incredible at what she does. She perfectly captured our personalities alongside the details of the day. We got married in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and Leah worked flawlessly alongside us to capture our dream day in the midst of so much chaos. She was flexible, calm, creative, and easy going. Leah’s talent for black and white photos is unparalleled. Our favorite images from the day include our romantics (of course) but also so many small moments Leah captured that we never would have seen or remembered!”

Colin and I would not have wanted anyone else on the other side of the camera on May 20th. We love Leah, and are grateful that she was willing to come to Colorado to do our wedding. Leah genuinely cares for each of her couples, and it shows in her excitement when she is photographing you.”
