We pulled off the road on our way to Ka’ena Point just past Haleiwa, Waialua and Mokulea headed west on the North Shore and found ourselves a quiet beach with crashing, waves and the sunset as the backdrop in one direction, and Hawai’i’s unique ridgelines in the other direction.
